Applying for NVTB symposium grants

Besides our main meeting we also sponsor symposia related to theoretical biology. These grants are at most €400 and are divided on a first come first serve basis to current members of the NVTB in good standing. The grants can be used for any costs related to your symposium. Please email us 1 month before the symposium at the latest, preferably earlier. In your email please specify the topic, date and location of your symposium, and what you plan to use our contribution for. In order to be eligible for a symposium grant your symposium should be accessible to NVTB members. Furthermore we request that you mention the support received from the NVTB at the symposium. Afterwards we require that you send us the receipts of what the money was used for. Below an overview of the application procedure and the terms and conditions.

Before the symposium:

– You must be a current member of the NVTB in good standing.
– Email at the latest 1 month in advance, preferably earlier (first come, first served).
-State the date, location and topic of your symposium.
-State how people (including our members) can join the symposium.
-Please state what you plan to use the money for (within the maximum of €400).
– We will advertise your symposium to our members.

During the symposium:

-Your symposium should be accessible to NVTB members.
-At the symposium itself please mention the NVTB support received.

After the symposium:

-Send us the receipts of what the money was used for.
-We will transfer the money (up to the €400 limit).
